A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash in east Cornwall yesterday evening.

It happened on the A388 at Stourcombe, Launceston, at around 5.30pm.

The motorcyclist, who was riding a Triumph motorcycle, was taken to Derriford Hospital by the Cornwall Air Ambulance and police have described his injuries as life threatening.  

Officers from Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team and response officers were called, along with a forensic collision investigator and scenes of crime officer, who carried out a full investigation at the road. 

A force spokesperson said: "Police would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.

"Witnesses, and anyone with dashcam footage of the incident, are asked to contact police on 101 or via email at 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log 714 of September 27, 2020."
