CHARITY bosses today spoke of their excitement after a new community outreach scheme was launched enabling people in remote locations to access guidance about care.
Weldmar Hospicecare, and end of life care provider for people living in Dorset, held the launch of its first community outreach programme this week which was attended by the Mayor of Dorchester.
Staff from Weldmar can now drive to remote locations to offer guidance on care in a van which was partly funded by the charity's 2019 Christmas Appeal.
Marketing and PR Officer, James O'Neill, said: "We're very excited to be able to get our community outreach vehicle on the road. It will enable us to visit different towns and villages across Dorset and provide information about Weldmar's services.
"Being able to launch a new service when times are so tough for charities is really good news.
"There will always be a warm welcome from our team who can chat with you over a cup of tea."
