EDINGTON Arts has announced that with great regret it has been forced to cancel the remaining three concerts of its 2020 music season.

This means there will have been no Edington Arts music concerts in Edington Priory Church this year.

Anne Curtis, spokesman for Edington Arts, said: “The combination of all the various Covid19-related guidelines and restrictions which we need to abide by means that presenting the rest of the season would not be financially viable.

"This is a conclusion we have reached after significant efforts to find ways of making it happen, but alas it has proved impossible.

"Instead we are looking ahead with enthusiasm and not a little excitement to the terrific programme we have fixed for 2021.

"The brochure is being designed at the moment, and will be distributed largely, but not exclusively, by digital and electronic means, as we will have no concerts at which to give them away.

"There will be hard copies available in the Priory Church and in other local churches and information points in November.”

Mrs Curtis said some of the artists who were unable to perform for Edington Arts this year because of the pandemic have been pencilled in to perform during the 2022 season.
