OPENING hours at recycling sites in Somerset are set to change from next month.
From October 1, the sites will open from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, changing from the summer hours currently in place (9am to 6pm).
Weekend opening hours - 9am to 4pm - will stay the same.
"With an impressive average recycling rate of well over 77%, Somerset's recycling sites network is open every day of the year except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day to take dozens of materials," said a spokesperson for the Somerset Waste Partnership, which runs the county's 16 recycling sites.
