Trowbridge: Colin Alan Cooke, 47, of York Buildings has pleaded guilty to resisting arrest in November last year.

He also pleaded guilty to damaging kitchenware, a large lounge window and a mobile phone belonging to a woman. He admits possessing of six grammes of cannabis and driving while disqualified with no insurance. The court made a community order, saying he must attend alcohol dependency treatment under the direction of the probation service and carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next year. The defendant’s guilty pleas were taken into account when imposing sentence.

CALNE: A man accused of assaulting a woman and causing actual bodily harm has been remanded on bail after denying the charge. Nigel Foster, 53, has been ordered to stay away from the woman and Calne, and only to return to the property accompanied by the police to collect personal belongings and medication. He’s been told he can stay with either of his daughters.

Westbury: 30-year-old Jason Thorne, who lives in a caravan at Westside on Black Dog Hill, was found not guilty of beating up another man.

Trowbridge: Stephen Paul Mitchell, 55, of Boundary Walk has had his case adjourned until September. He is accused of sexually touching a young woman without her consent. No pleas were listed.

Devizes: Nicholas Spence, 52, of Hillworth Road has had his case adjourned for a plea. He is accused of breaking a sexual harm prevention order by having a mobile phone.

Broad Hinton: A restraining order has been placed on 71-year-old Andrew Turnell of Elm Cross Road after he pleaded guilty to beating a woman. The order lasts until February next year.

Melksham: Shannon Graham has been remanded in custody, and is accused of driving a Mercedes Benz down the A350 Malmesbury Road at Chippenham with an over the limit amount of a controlled drug Benzoylecgonin in her system. She pleaded not guilty.

Graham, of Church Walk, has also denied stealing food and alcohol from the Co-Op in Corsham, groceries from Sainsbury’s Local in Chippenham and a can of cider from Avad convenience store in Melksham.

She also denies failing to comply with a community order from a previous offence, or keeping in touch with the authorities, and of using threatening words and behaviour towards a man in Melksham, damaging a car belonging to another woman and assaulting a police officer. She elected for summary trial.

TROWBRIDGE: Prosecutors withdrew an allegation that Lyndsey Goree, 29, of Ancaster Close, Trowbridge, drove a Vauxhall Astra carelessly on the A4 near Marlborough on New Year’s Day 2020.

ALTON BARNES: Drew Westaway, 19, of Chawleigh, Devon, had been charged with careless driving in Alton Barnes on October 29 last year. It was withdrawn at the request of the prosecution.

HILPERTON: McKenzie Brooks, 24, of Trowbridge Road, Hilperton, pleaded guilty to beating a woman on June 19. He was given a two-year community order with 250 hours of unpaid work and up to 45 rehabilitation activity days. A restraining order prevents him from contacting his victim for a year.

He must pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Connor Kirkley, 25, of Eveleigh Road, Royal Wotton Bassett, pleaded guilty to stealing £476 worth of alcohol from Waitrose in Marlborough on January 23.

He must pay £158.66 compensation.

SWINDON: Marko Arcabic, 33, of Phoenix Gardens, Oakhurst, had faced an allegation of driving without due care and attention on Thamesdown Drive on January 9, 2020. It was withdrawn at the request of the police.

WILTSHIRE: Police were given an extra six months to retain £1,145 cash seized from Daniel Baker, of Hattem Place, Andover, on February 4 this year. Th

SWINDON: Henry Jackson, 52, of Lennox Drive, denies assaulting a man on January 20 and 27. He was bailed for the trial on September 28.

SWINDON: Harry King, 18, of Roundway Down, Freshbrook, admitted possession of a blade, possession of a metal chisel in Farnsby Street, cannabis possession and assaulting a police constable. Magistrates sentenced him to an 18-month community order.
