Greenslade Taylor Hunt report another super entry saw a super trade for all types in the milk section. Overall the entry lacked any real stars but if they were good enough they made £2000 to a top of £2050, when others sold to £1950 from Nick Goss, Devises. 991 Store cattle and grazing cows. Auctioneer's comments:

Greenslade Taylor Hunt report a huge August entry of 991 store cattle, which was 59 per cent up on the same week last year and must be a record August entry.

Fleshed and best feeding stores continue apace.

Some cattle beginning to look a bit “autumny” and of lesser quality, which was reflected in the trade.

Fed cattle really wanted for a three to four month turn around on what will hopefully be a continuing very strong slaughter trade.
