Approximately 50 sheep have been stolen from a field near Dorchester.

Between 7.30pm on Monday, August 17 and early the next morning, the sheep were stolen from a field in Piddletrenthide.

A nearby neighbour’s dog was consistently barking around 5am on Tuesday morning and police think that it is likely that the theft occurred around this time.
