The fire service is reminding drivers to be considerate of where they park - and sharing the photo above, taken in Falmouth, to show the problem.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service took to Twitter to show the thoughtless parking that left a fire engine struggling to get by and so endangering lives.
They said: "We are reminding everyone to be considerate of where you park.
"Motorists that are not considering if an emergency vehicle can get past, are putting lives at risk."

The fire service urges drivers to be aware of the 'Think before you park' campaign.
This has been launched due to the number of incidents in which motorists hinder emergency service vehicles with erratic driving and poor parking.
Those motorists that are not considering if an emergency vehicle can get past, are putting lives at risk by blocking off roads and even stopping on box junctions outside community fire stations.
If a vehicle is considered to be parked inconsiderately, the driver may find a leaflet under the windscreen wiper, a Think Before You Park notice.
