A man has been arrested following a four-vehicle road traffic collision on the A361 near Seend yesterday.
A 37-year-old man from Trowbridge was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving a motor vehicle.
Police said he failed a roadside drugs swipe after testing positive for a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
The man has been released under investigation while police make further enquiries.
The main road between Devizes and Trowbridge was closed until 2pm following the crash on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the A361 near Seend Head at 11.25am after a lorry and three cars collided on the s-bend near the bridge.
The crash involved a lorry and three cars - a black Kia, a red Ford and a grey BMW.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service and South Western ambulance service paramedics also attended.
