WARMINSTER Town Council is to take its grounds maintenance contracts in-house.
Contracts for public toilets, grounds maintenance, hanging baskets and town park maintenance are due to expire next April.
The town council’s parks and recreation committee decided on July 27 to take the contracts in-house at a cost of £100,200 a year.
Another member of staff may be taken on to handle the workload.
In recent months, the council has taken control of the Lake Pleasure Grounds and eight children’s play areas in the town.
