Grain dryer catches fire
CREWS from Amesbury, Salisbury and Wilton were mobilised to a fire involving a grain dryer at The Packway near Shrewton at 9pm on Thursday, August 6.
They included a pump and aerial ladder platform from Salisbury and a pump and water carrier from Wilton.
One hose reel jet was used together with the aerial appliance to extinguish the fire.
Around 60 tonnes of oats were inside the dryer when the fire started.
