A MUSEUM will welcome back visitors this month after a £20,000 boost.
Weymouth Museum has announced plans to reopen its doors from Thursday, August 20. Initially, the museum hopes to be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am-4pm.
This comes after the museum received a grant of more than £20,000 to help the attraction adhere to Covid-19 safety measures.
A spokesperson said: "Weymouth Museum is very pleased to announce that it plans to reopen. There will be a number of new displays and the museum will have been reconfigured to ensure it is Covid-safe with a new entrance and exit.
"This has been made possible by a generous grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund’s Heritage Emergency Fund. The grant has allowed the museum to reconfigure displays, introduce a cashless payment system and ensure that the queuing area allows for social distancing."
