A tractor has been damaged by fire on Crows Hill in Batcombe near Shepton Mallet.
The fire broke out early evening on Wednesday (July 22).
Calls reporting the tractor on fire came into Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service at 6.12pm.
Fire Control sent two fire appliances from Castle Cary and Shepton Mallet, together with a water carrier from Yeovil.
Fortunately, on arrival of the first appliance from Castle Cary, the crew could confirm it was in fact a small fire on the underside of the engine compartment.

They then stood down the remaining crews.
The fire, which started accidentally, was extinguished using a hose reel jet and caused minimal damage.
Once the vehicle was made safe, duty of care was left the farmer.
