POLICE are trying to get to the bottom of the mystery of a number of boar roaming around an area of Somerset.
The animals were released in East Somerset yesterday (Thursday).
Officers want to know how they got there and who is responsible.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police's rural affairs unit took to social media on Thursday and said: "Investigating wild boar release in East Somerset today.
"Many sightings but who released them? Who transported? Where do they come from?"
Anyone with any information should contact the rural affairs unit on 101.
