POLICE have confirmed no-one else was involved in an incident on a Barrow street on Monday.

Emergency services were called to Napier Street after receiving a report concerning the welfare of a man at 3.19pm.

The property was attended by Cumbria Police, Cumbria Fire and Rescue and the North West Ambulance Service.

The road had been cordoned off from the public.

Crime Scene Investigation units were also in attendance.

The man was then taken to Furness General Hospital by an ambulance crew.

The condition of the man is not currently known. Police said yesterday no-one else was involved.

An eyewitness to the scene had told of how a green tent, believed to be placed there by the forensics team, had been put up in front of the property involved.

“I don’t really know what’s happened but it’s surprising to see something like this” said one resident. By 5pm, two police vans were still parked outside of the property.
