A vehicle carrier ship - the Hoegh Berlin - is currently anchored at Portland Harbour.

Ken and Sue Deadman sent in this picture of the cargo vessel.

The car-carrier is registered in the Bahamas and has travelled to the UK after previously being anchored at Antwerp in Belgium.

Built in 2005, the Hoegh Berlin is 228.74 metres long and 32.29 metres wide, with a carrying capacity of 27,178 tonnes.

The Echo has asked Portland Port for more details of the visit and how long it will remain in the area.
