NO hospital patients have died with coronavirus in Dorset for almost four weeks.

A total of 155 patients have died in the county’s hospitals since the pandemic started.

The last death occurred at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital on June 15.

Sixty-seven deaths have been recorded at Royal Bournemouth Hospital with 48 at Poole Hospital.

Twenty-four deaths have happened at Dorset County Hospital with 16 recorded at the Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.

NHS England said another 38 people who tested positive for Covid-19 had died in the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,051.

The patients were aged between 40 and 98 years old.

Three patients, aged 65 to 86 years, had no known underlying health conditions.

None of the deaths occurred in hospitals in the south west.
