A MAN who stole more than £1,300 of fragrances from Boots the Chemists has been handed an eight week suspended prison sentence.

Scott Walsh-Fleming, of Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, admitted the thefts at Poole Magistrates' Court on June 29.

The court heard that on three separate occasions, between May 27 and June 2 this year, Walsh-Fleming stole perfumes worth £1,302 from the Boots on Commercial Road, Bournemouth.

The 36-year-old also admitted stealing champagne, worth £17.99, from the Central Convenience Store, Seamoor Road, Bournemouth, on May 22.

He was sentenced to two weeks on four counts of theft, to run consecutively, but suspended for 12 months.

Walsh-Fleming was also ordered to comply with the requirements of a 12 month supervision period, which includes a rehabilitation activity requirement.
