Pheasants have died in a fire in their shed at Combe Cross near Shillingford in Somerset.
The fire service was called to a single storey pheasant shed on fire at 1.50pm yesterday (Wednesday, June 24).
One crew from Dulverton, one crew from Tiverton, one crew from Wellington and the water carrier from Danes Castle attended.
On arrival the crews confirmed the shed was well alight.
The shed contained seven large gas cylinders, which the crews cooled.
The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and one main jet and the crew used a thermal imaging camera to ensure the area was safe.
The fire was believed to be accidental but it destroyed the shed and the birds within.
