There has been one further coronavirus-related death at a Dorset hospital.

The death occurred at a hospital run by Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust (DHUFT), and was reported in NHS figures released yesterday.

It means a total of 15 people have died after testing positive for Covid-19 under the care of DHUFT.

No further deaths at Dorset hospitals have been reported in today's figures.

There have been a total of 65 deaths at The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals, 48 at Poole Hospital, and 24 at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.

In total 152 patients have died at Dorset hospitals since the outbreak began.

Around the country a further 123 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 27,282.

Patients were aged between 38 and 105 years old. One of the 123 patients (aged 86) had no known underlying health condition.

Their families have been informed.
