POLICE officers arrived in force at a Worcester hotel.
Police cars with their blue lights activated could be seen at the hotel off City Walls Road at around 9pm on Friday. At one point there were four police cars blocking the entrance to the hotel. Officers could also be seen inside the hotel.
West Mercia Police has been approached for more details about the incident.
The hotel, along with others in the city, has been used to accommodate homeless people and rough sleepers during the coronavirus pandemic.
One man present nearby, said: "I couldn't really see much because it was around the back and out of view but just got quite a shock seeing so many police cars. It seemed quite serious."
Another man, walking past, said: "By the time I got there I could only see one police car in the entrance with the blue lights on. I could see police officers inside through the window and they appeared to be taking a statement on a laptop."
We have previously reported how three men were arrested in connection with an assault outside the hotel at 1am on May 25 when a 29-year-old man was taken to hospital.
More to follow.
