A FURTHER coronavirus-related death has been recorded in Cornish hospitals in today's figures.
The total has risen by one, to 86.
The latest loss of life was recorded at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, where there have now been 60 deaths.
NHS England's figure for the hospitals run by Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust remains at 26.
The daily NHS total covers deaths in hospitals and not in other settings.
The overall number for Cornwall, including hospitals, care homes and private dwellings, was last week put at 158 by the Office for National Statistics.
Across England a further 122 people who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 24,739.
Patients were aged between 47 and 100 years old. Of those, seven - aged between 50 and 85 - had no known underlying health condition, NHS England said.
Their families have been informed.
In the south west as a whole, six new deaths have been recorded.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Cornwall currently stands at 558.
