TWO people have been arrested after a woman was 'deliberately coughed at' in Bridgwater, Somerset, on Friday (March 27).
The woman was walking in the Cranleigh Gardens area at just after midday
Police say they have arrested two people in connection with this incident, who are now in custody.
Similar incidents have been recorded across the country during the Covid 19 UK 'lockdown' period.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We’re aware the incident has received attention on social media and we’d like to assure the public that we’ve identified two suspects, who are helping us with our enquiries and they’ll be interviewed in due course."
