Weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office as heavy rain and strong winds are set to batter the region again, writes Ellie Maslin.
Flooding and transport disruption is likely tomorrow with a yellow warning for heavy rain in place from 3am Friday until 6am Saturday morning.
Then from midday Saturday, forecasters have warned residents to prepare for a spell of strong winds, with a second yellow warning in place until midday Sunday.
The storm has been christened 'Storm Jorge' by the Spanish meteorological service.
Residents who live near the coast should pay particular attention to sea spray and large waves, which could cause hazards on roads and footpaths.
Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are also likely, as are delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.
Householders are also advised to secure loose objects such as ladders, garden furniture or anything else that could be blown into windows, and make sure windows and doors are securely closed.
If you are affected by power cuts during storms, you may be a priority customer for energy suppliers reconnecting power.
