TWO farmers from Cornwall have appeared in court to face allegations that they grew cannabis.
Paul Anthony Collins, aged 55, and Thomas James Collins, aged 72, both of Trenoweth Farm at Gweek, appeared before magistrates this morning.
Paul Collins faces two charges.
The first is that between January 1, 2015, and May 16, 2018, he was concerned in the production of a quantity of cannabis.
The second, between January 1, 2013, and May 16, 2018, is that he dishonestly used a quantity of electricity to the value of £182,154.98.
Thomas Collins also faces the second charge, as well as another of permitting the production of cannabis as the occupier of the premises.
Neither man submitted pleas and their cases will be heard at Truro Crown Court on March 20. They were released on unconditional bail.
