FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a blaze near Gweek yesterday afternoon.
One fire appliance and a water carrier from Helston Fire Station, one fire appliance from Falmouth Fire Station and a Flexi Duty Officer attended this incident at Tolvan Cross just before 3pm.
The fire involved a single storey granite barn used as a pump house, measuring approximately 10m by 5m.
It was described as "well alight" when they arrived.
The crews used two sets of breathing apparatus and two hosereel to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental from an electrical source.
