Dorset Police Rural Crime Team have issued a sheep theft alert after 28 sheep were stolen from a field near Powerstock, Bridport.

The stolen ewes are all Poll Dorsets, and were taken some time between 7.30 am on Thursday February 6 and 7 am on Friday February 7.

The ewes were wearing ear tags with flock number UK351301.

The police are keen to hear from anyone with information regarding this incident, and have asked members of the public the following:

• Were you in the area during that time?

• If so did you see anything suspicious?

• Any vehicles with livestock trailers attached seen acting suspiciously?

• Any livestock vehicles seen acting suspiciously?
