John Elliott & Family saw his best Blue bulls to £372 with the Champion baby calf of the day in from Messrs Furze of Ashwater at £300.

18 dairy cattle topped at £1,880 for Messrs Green & Son of Ruan Minor in Cornwall with all cows averaging £1,672. 203 cattle topped at £1,900 for the stock bull in from JP Stephens of Liskeard.

Best steers hit £1,131 for John Sluggett with top heifers at £1,175 for Stuart May.

Top of the breeding cattle hit £1,090 for Neil Trewern.

In the sheep pens 711 hoggs topped at £105 for heavy hoggs in from Steve Cottle of Welcombe with others at £104.50.

Premium on the day was set at 221p/kg for Messrs Martin of North Corscombe.

191 cull sheep topped at £109.50 for G&N Cook of Buckland Brewer with the best of the couples at £220 for Danny Norman.

Just one lorry load of straw hit £80p/tn for Messrs Gayden of Stow-on-the-Wold.
