An animal charity on the outskirts of Taunton is appealing for warm blankets, writes Amy Cole.

To help keep all the animals warm during the winter months, RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre is asking for donations.

Dog Bailey has become the face of the call for help, dubbed Bailey's Blanket Appeal.

A spokesperson said: "Bailey has taken it upon himself to let everyone know that we are running very low on large, warm, fluffy blankets.

"As you can imagine, we go through them quickly during the winter months, so we would be extremely grateful for any donations of big comfy blankets to keep our kennel residents comfortable, warm and snug during their stay with us."

Bailey is also looking for his forever home, and is hoping 2020 will be his lucky year.
