The Farm Consultancy Group co-hosted a fundraising day earlier in the month that raised £4,500 in aid of Wiltshire MIND and The UK Sepsis Trust.

The UK Sepsis Trust and Mind Wiltshire were chosen due to a neighbouring friend and farmer having sepsis last year and who is still recovering.

Mental health unfortunately has taken some of the group's farming friends and colleagues far too early and so the group is trying to raise awareness and reduce the stigma that it associated with mental health, and to share that “it’s ok to not be ok”.

The day started with more than 130 people from a range of national and local businesses within the agricultural sector coming together to raise money for these two very deserving charities.

The activities included clay pigeon shooting, blindfolded Land Rover driving, axe-throwing and archery.

Once the teams had finished the activities a raffle and auction were then held to raise further funds.

The group would like to thank everyone who supported the event, especially the co-hosts Royds Withy King, Old Mill and Woolley & Wallis and for Owl Lodge in Lacock, Chippenham for the use of their venue.
