FIREFIGHTERS were called to a barn alight near Truro on Sunday afternoon.
Two appliances from Truro and a further crew from Falmouth attended the incident at St Clement at 4.25pm.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival the first attending crew also requested a water carrier.
"Firefighters are using breathing apparatus, hose reels and covering jets to fight the flames on a barn measuring 30 by 10 metres, containing approximately 1,000 bales of hay."
