A PARTY business for children could be coming to farmland off Lanehouse Rocks Road in Weymouth.

An application for a five-acre field has been submitted to Dorset Council to change the use of the land to include a small assault course consisting of hay bales, tyres and sand bags as well as a gazebo.

The site is off the Wyke Regis end of the road, north of number 201 Lanehouse Rocks Road and opposite a row of houses on the opposite side near the brow of the hill.

The application comes from Gemma Tompkins from Dorchester Road, Weymouth and is expected to be decided by a planning officer. Comments on the application are invited until October 25.

In her application she says that two staff will be on site and the business potentially open from 10am to 5pm throughout the week.
