Dorset Police are warning dog owners to keep their pets under control after a sheep was put down following an attack.
A Bridport police spokesman said a sheep was attacked in a field on the south side of Allington Hill sometime between 5pm on October 2 and 9am on October 3.
"Unfortunately the sheep had to be put down as a result of the injuries they received," the spokesman said.
"Please can we remind dog owners that they have a responsibility to keep their dogs under control at all times."
Anyone with information about the incident should call police on 101 quoting crime number 55190155888.
