Somerset Federation of Young Farmers celebrated their 85th anniversary in style at the Somerset County Cricket Ground on September 21.

Over 270 past and present members attended the event, which took the form of a dinner and dance.

The club were delighted to welcome guest speaker Martin Thatcher, managing director of Thatcher's Cider, and his wife, Anne. Somerset YFC county president Anita Simmons and county chairman Leigh Waite were a fantastic double act, keeping the evening running perfectly.

The evening also acknowledged the stepping down of county organiser Gillian Dosson, who had done the role for over 19 years. Gillian also made the fantastic 85th celebration cake. National finalists Somerset YFC Ballroom Dancers performed, before everyone danced the night away to Sounds About Right.
