Entries are open for this year's annual show of food and farming in Helston.

Now in its 149th year, Helston Fatstock Show will take place on Saturday, November 9 at Franchis Farm.

The farm, owned by Bob Cowell, can be found on the main Helston to Wendron road, opposite Wheal Dream.

There is free entry to visitors on the day, giving everyone the chance to see the cattle, sheep, farm produce, cookery, photography and crafts.

A number of craft stalls and local producers will be at the event, with spaces still available to booked by emailing reejenkin@hotmail.com.

A charity auction will be held at around 1.30pm, with all proceeds going to the president's chosen charity Cornwall Air Ambulance Heli Appeal.

The event is chance for families to learn more about where food comes from.

There is still also time for exhibitors to take part from any area in all these classes, as well as specific sessions for young farmers clubs and children.
