A large crowd of sale-goers attended the dispersal sale of tractors, machinery, general equipment and household furniture held on behalf of Mr F O J Holwill at Henacroft Farm, Iddesleigh last Friday, September 20.
It was a sale that had something for everyone and topping the day’s prices was £13,200 for the 1997 John Deere 6400 tractor which had been kept in lovely condition and had just over 7,500 hours on the clock.
Next best was the 1995 John Deere 6200 with 6,300 hours on the clock which made £10,500.
The Farm Machinery topped at £9,700 for a 2010 McConnel PA50E XTC hedge trimmer. There was a lovely line of older / vintage tractors which topped at £3,300 for the 1956 McCormick International Standard Super BWD 6 Tractor c/w Rear Winch.
The Massey 575 Tractor c/w Loader sold well at £4,600 and other notable prices included £1,300 for the Honda 2WD Quad Bike; 39 box profile sheets made £22 each (total £858); and £480 for a Mountfield ride-on lawnmower.
