Greenslade Taylor Hunt report a small post Bank Holiday entry of 53 clean cattle met a good trade for best and good quality but limited interest for anything lacking.
Top was 195.5ppk for a smart Limousin steer from RC Loveridge & Son, Axminster. Similar Limousin steer at 192.5ppk from TR Michell, Truro.
Steers sold to £1,237.78 for a Limousin from RC Loveridge. Further Limousin at £1,202.65 from TR Michell.
Heifers rose to 194.5ppk for a Limousin from TR Michell again, who sold others at 186.5 and 179.5ppk. Blue heifer at 193.5ppk from RC Loveridge & Son. Further Limousin at 180.5ppk, RC Rowe & Son, Upottery.
Heifers sold to £1,193.90 for the Blue from RC Loveridge & Son. Limousins at £1,077.97 and £1,050.30 from TR Michell. Further Limousin £1,052.32 from RC Rowe & Son.
25 Barren cows and cull stock bulls. Auctioneer's Comments:
Greenslade Taylor Hunt report a very small post Bank Holiday entry of 25 cull cattle, met good demand when cow beef continues to sell.
Top was 129.5ppk for a Hereford from G Wall, Highbridge. Further Hereford at 123.5ppk from R Chaddock, Glastonbury. Angus at 124.5ppk twice from R Chaddock again. Blue cow at 127.5ppk from RC Rowe & Son, Upottery. Simmental and Limousin at 122.5ppk each from R Chaddock again.
Sucklers sold to £1,046.78 for the Blue from RC Rowe & Son. Angus to £981.06 from R Chaddock.
Dairy breeds sold to 121.5ppk for a Friesian from AJ Gay & Sons Ltd, East Harptree. Good meat Holstein at 118.5ppk from J Read & Co, Pyrland, who sold another at 113.5ppk.

631 Finished lambs. Auctioneer's Comments:
Greenslade Taylor Hunt report fewer lambs forward at 631 head sold to a stronger trade for the heavier thicker lambs but generally more difficult for the leaner/lighter types. The best sold to 192, 187 and 185ppk from JE & LP Reason. Others 190 and 187ppk from WGF Chave & Son; 187ppk from AF & AH Powell; 186 and 183ppk from M & K Jackson; 184ppk from Milborne Wick Farms Ltd; 183 and 182ppk from EB & JA Webber; 183ppk from DA & AP Gillbard and 182ppk from DM Ruell, L Aplin and D Day.
Heavier lambs sold to £100 from WGF Chave & Son. Others £97 from M & K Jackson; £95 and £90 from JR & RH Williams; £94 from Milborne Wick Farms Ltd and £90.50 from JE & LP Reason (x2) and DA Kidner & Son. Overall average £76.60.
