A man has died while swimming on the north coast.
The 63-year-old man, who lived locally, had been swimming in the sea near the Godrevy lighthouse when it is thought he got into difficulties.
The RNLI and coastguard helicopter were both scrambled just before 3.40pm yesterday.
He was pulled from the water and given first aid, but the emergency services were unable to save him.
Police have confirmed his next of kin has been informed and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
