Coastguards rescued four people and a dog after their boat became stuck in the mud near Devoran.
Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked at 1.28pm yesterday.
On arrival they found a small motor boat stuck around 100 metres off the shore.
Two specialist mud rescue technicians and equipment were deployed, who made the vessel safe and loaded the casualties onto a rescue sled before winching them ashore.
Coastguards then returned to station for a lengthy clean down.
