Power line sets fire to field in Cerne Abbas
AN overhead power line caused fire to break out at a field of straw in Cerne Abbas on the morning on August 6, writes Ellie Maslan.
A spokesman for the fire service said that a crew from Dorchester was called out after sparks from the power line caused "multiple seats of fire" on the field below.
"Crews dealt with the fires from a safe distance until the lines were isolated and the scene was made safe", they added.
