Greenslade Taylor Hunt report another good entry of very smart heifers saw a return to £2000 for the very best, being a superbly presented commercial fresh heifer from AC & HM Jones of Glos and a Pedigree ‘Torralley Dream Diane’ heifer from M & K Churchill & Son. Others at £1960 JG Morgan, £1910 Arrijan Farming and £1900 HR Lewis & Snook Ltd. Older Cows a much harder trade when 2nd calvers from JC Morgan and DWT, EG & PW Jones sold at £1820. Others at £1800 Arrijan Farming and £1720 RL & ME Trott. Crossbred cows from PA Cleave at £1470. Pedigree Ayrshire heifer from A Ractliffe £1800. Shorthorn cross heifer from RL & ME Trott at £1720. Greenslade Taylor Hunt report a fair entry of 633 store cattle, part of 839 with the grazers, sucklers and stirks, met a very good trade for the best, when compared with the depressed slaughter trade. Still a lot of cattle small for their age, having stood still last summer, find homes at lower levels.
