Kivells of Holsworthy saw 330 store cattle sell to a continued strong trade with the best trio of Blue steers (20mths) hitting £1,080 on behalf of Messrs Chamberlain & Son of Shebbear.

Messrs Congdon of Saltash was close up at £1,075 for Herefords. AG Dennis of Northlew topped at £1,070 for 25mths Simmentals with Messrs Colwell of Merryfield close up at £1,050.

Messrs LJ Goaman topped the call cows at £803 with others from Messrs Brown at £727. 294 calves & stirks sold to a flyer with the best of the stirks to £630 from Messrs Irish with plenty between £500-£590 throughout the sale.

Baby calves topped at £400 with top Holsteins to £161.

1,241 sheep saw the pick of the new season lambs top at £104 for Mark Vickery, £103.50 for Johnny Beer of Langtree and Messrs Stephens at £103.50.

Prime hoggs topped at £96.20 for KJ Beer with Steve Cleverdon of Hatherleigh close up at £96. Top call in the cull sheep pens was £132.50 on behalf of RJ Northcott of Callington with the best cull rams at £95 for Steve Nelder.

A strong entry of ewes & lambs saw DW Ridd of West Buckland top the day at £252 with others from Graham Heal & Family at £155.

A strong entry of Dairy cattle topped at £1,850 for N&J Osborne of Jacobstowe with Bradley’s Dairy topping their run at £1,800. Youngstock dairy cattle topped at £1,180 for Edward Headon.
