Well known classic tractor enthusiast Rodney Cowle is based in Devon, where his family collection includes over 40 tractors.

The family are now looking to pursue other business interests and are dispersing of the entire collection, which is expected to generate a huge amount of interest amongst collectors in the UK.

The Rodney Cowle collection will go under the hammer on May 4 at the family farm in Winkleigh, Devon. Made up of mainly Ford and Ford-based derivatives, the tractors have been amassed from the early 1960s to the present day by him and his son, Steve.

Many of the models on offer are rare and high value examples, for example a 1963 Doe Triple D which has been a part of the collection for the past ten years and is estimated to sell for £50,000 - £60,000.

There is also a Doe 130 which is the last ever model of this type produced by Ernest Doe, dating from the late 1960s and set to sell for £60,000 - £70,000.
