CLA responds to Defra’s Permanent Secretary Clare Moriaty moving to DxEU
Commenting on Clare Moriaty’s move from Permanent Secretary at Defra to the Department for Exiting the European Union (DxEU), CLA President Tim Breitmeyer said:
“We would like to thank Clare for the leadership she has shown at Defra and hope that she will continue to be a good friend to the farming sector in her new role at the Department for Exiting the EU.
“Given the size, scope and number of current projects of crucial importance to the future of farming and the rural economy at Defra, it is imperative that a replacement is announced as soon as possible.”
