THE Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust (DPHT), based at Parke, Bovey Tracey, welcomed very special visitors at its open day in February.

The Green Willow Clog team came along to present a cheque for £200 raised by its members and supporters at events over last Summer.

The DPHT was nominated by Bovey Tracey resident and team member Jacqueline Lake.

The money raised will go towards the work of the DPHT to ensure a long-term future for the Dartmoor pony on Dartmoor and towards its equine assisted learning programmes called ‘Ponies Inspiring People’, for youngsters from across Devon in both mainstream and special needs schools. Visitors and ponies were treated to a 'Celebration Dance'.

The Green Willow team, whichs performs clog dances mainly from the north west, are based in Dartington Village Hall during the winter practice season and are looking for new members from across south Dartmoor, south Devon and the surrounding area to join – contact Jacqueline on 07748 121093 or Alison via greenwillowcloggies@gmail.com to find out more. It's great fun, a lovely group of ladies and a way to keep fit as well.

DPHT Open Days are suitable for family members of all ages and abilities.

The next open day is March 17.
