EXPERIENCED chartered surveyor Mark Chugg MRICS has been appointed to the partnership at Greenslade Taylor Hunt.

Mark has worked in the property industry for more than 20 years – much of it in his native Devon.

He is a farmer’s son and joined GTH as an Associate in 2016 in the Development Land and Planning Department.

Mark has considerable experience in dealing with residential development land throughout the South West Region with strong contacts in Devon and Cornwall.”

Prior to joining GTH Mark worked for a FTSE 250 property consultancy business for nearly nine years. He has worked in the South West for much of his career and specialises in all aspects of development work, including development agency, consultancy, valuation and strategic land.

Mark also has a keen interest in farming and renewable energy having had a personal interest in the Fullabrook wind farm and the Luscott Barton solar farm projects in Devon.

Based in the Planning and Development office beside the M5 at Taunton, Mark covers the whole of the South West.

His expertise has enabled him to advise clients, including landowners and farmers, about the opportunities available. He has identified development partners to help landowners promote their land via option or promotion agreements and secure planning permission and thus ensure a higher value for the land.

He has a substantial network of contacts among landowners, regional and national house builders and land promoters built up over many years.

He has a master’s degree in estate management and more than 15 years post qualification experience as a chartered surveyor.
