Mullion sex offender found dead in his cell
A MULLION man who pleaded guilty to a number of sex offences, including rape of a child, has been found dead in his prison cell just days before he was due to sentenced.
Nicholas Casley, 59, of Commons Close, had pleaded guilty to14 sex offence charges and was due to appear at Truro Crown Court today to be sentenced. Two were for sex with a child and the other 12 related to sex against the same child. The charges related to a time period of 2012 to 2018.
He was found dead in his prison cell at HMP Exeter yesterday afternoon.
