Dorset County Show is taking place on Saturday 2 September and Sunday 3 September 3 at the Dorchester Showground.
New at this year’s show is a live milking demonstration by which show-goers will get the opportunity see how modern day dairy farmers produce milk. The two-day annual show attracts more than 60,000 people each year. Its main focus is to promote agriculture through competitive classes, trade, and demonstrations. The show celebrates excellence within agriculture and aims to engage with the public by celebrating the best of rural life. The first show was in 1840 and it is organised by Dorchester Agricultural Society.
