OKEHAMPTON Show takes place on August 12 at Stoney Park Showground and, with over 1,500 animals entered, it is a traditional countryside event.

New classes are offered for Welsh black cattle, Hampshire Down and Southdown sheep and side saddle, driving concours d’Elegance and performance pony in the equestrian section. Other livestock sections include dairy and pygmy goats, Pigs, poultry and rabbits. Separate horse and livestock schedules will be available in May on the website and from the office. Main ring attractions include barrel and scurry racing, tug of war competition and terrier racing, as well as a full entertainment programme all day around the Showground.
