A great day out for everyone, is one of the ways of describing Stithians Show.

Stithians Agricultural Association was founded in 1834, one of the oldest and largest one day shows of its type in the country and attracts up to 20,000 people to its annual one day Agricultural Show, this year on Monday 16th July.

A traditional Agricultural Show with a wide range of exhibits which are renowned for their high quality, include Horses, Cattle, Horticulture, Poultry, Cage Birds, Dogs, Rabbits, Sheep, Goats, Pigeons, YFC and the Domestic Section which will have cookery, handicrafts, art, photography and children’s exhibits.

Dog Agility competitions, Rare Breeds, Vintage Vehicles, including steam, and demonstrations of rural skills are always popular with visitors.

St. Stythians Band will entertain during the day, with further local entertainment being provided in the Kelly’s Entertainment Area.

The day will end with a concert by St. Stythians Band and Mousehole Male Voice Choir, with Radio Cornwall’s Nina Davey, as Chairman.

Near the flagpoles stands a large granite stone which was transferred from the original site of the Show.

This bears numerous holes which were the result of hand drilling competitions held during the early years of this century.

This year marks 19 years on the new Showground.
